The Solid Grooves boss hosted the one-day festival on Saturday, 6th July, at Finsbury Park in London as part of his One Life world tour. The event marked a pivotal moment in Bibi’s career, following his battle with central nervous system lymphoma, a rare form of cancer diagnosed in June 2023. After announcing his remission in December 2023, Bibi used the tour to celebrate his recovery.
The festival attracted a crowd of 45,000 and included deeply emotional moments. Bibi brought his family on stage: his father, Robin Bibi, performed on guitar, while his mother joined him later to show her support behind the decks. Reflecting on the experience, Bibi wrote on Instagram: “London, I will never forget that day. I envisioned this show from my hospital bed, and seeing it come to life before my eyes is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever been a part of. Thank you so much to everyone involved. We are back, and One Life is born.”
The event also supported a charitable cause, with Bibi urging attendees to join the stem cell transplant register in partnership with UK charity Anthony Nolan, which played a key role in his treatment. The festival’s line-up featured performances from Dixon, Chloé Caillet, Enzo Siragusa, and Salomé Le Chat.
Since the festival, Bibi has donated over £120,000 from its proceeds to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which funds groundbreaking cancer treatments and research. Speaking about the donation, he said, “Through dancing, we’ve directly helped others like myself and contributed to saving more lives.”
